Fashion’s current democratic state allows for various style directions ranging from cozy sport-inspired to super femmy and avant garde.
One of the fiercer up-and-comers during these decidely mixy times is Italian designer Marco de Vincenzo, who launched his label in 2009 and has shown a consistent knack for creating fun and funky, cult status footwear. Case in point, his fall 2017 crystal ankle boots, which are long sold out.
Vincenzo was a favorite of Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani, who tapped him for the magazine’s “Who Is On Next” young designer award the same year he founded his label. Vincenzo got his start at Fendi, assisting Silvia Venturini Fendi with accessory design, a role he continues to hold.
In 2014, LVMH acquired 48 percent of the company, enabling the label to grow its wholesale footprint and build connections with stylish celebrities, which include Beyoncé, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
Enjoy a look at the Vincenzo’s crystal boots plus the label’s shoe line up for spring 2018.
