Cheap Monday, now owned by H&M, is gearing up for a relaunch. With creative direction by Alice Shulman, Cheap Monday aims to rekindle the enthusiasm of those seeking its distinctive style. Leaning into denim, the debut line up will run the full silhouette gamut from super-stretch skinnies and low-rise bootcuts to dramatically flared and oversized.
In press about the relaunch Shulman stated, “Cheap Monday is a rush of restlessness, speed, and compulsion. Our design is pretty much a blend of contradictions, a multitude of personalities. Don’t let any single aspect define you; create your own multi-core.”
Originally founded in Sweden in 2004 by Örjan Andersson and Adam Friberg, the brand was acquired by Hennes & Mauritz in 2008 and ceased operations in 2018 due to poor sales performance.
Cheap Monday will launch on globally on weekday.com as well as select weekday stores and select retailer during summer 2024.
