In the second “Around the Way Girls” feature, By Campos, we focus our lens on born and raised Brooklynite Amy Collado, who exemplifies the multidisciplinary talents that make many New York females stand out. A freelance producer and marketing consultant, Collado also moonlights as a curator for independent art projects and is a sales consultant for Other Criteria, Damien Hirst’s fine art publishing concept. Her latest production with director AV Rockwell takes us on a poetic gritty tour of New York with Open City Mixtape a series of short films meant to mirror musical mixtapes.
Styling and art direction by Ingrid Campos, with make-up by Salomé Figuereo and photography by Bluntbreak, this installment of Around the Way Girls took inspiration from Collado’s Latin roots and her love of ’90s hip hop to create looks that are retro, sexy and cool.
