Nike makes a very different statement with a sandal that’s equal parts gladiator, wedge and sneaker. Called the Lunarsandiator, the shoe features a Lunar-esque bottom and a leather gladiator upper unlike any we have ever seen on a shoe by Nike, which has been stepping out more and more over the past two years with shoes rooted in fashion rather than strictly performance.
We are kind of loving this shoe if only because Nike has serious design muscle and we enjoy seeing it take chances and apply its skills to concepts beyond just sneakers.
As for now, the Lunarsandiator is only available at European and Australian retailers though it should arrive in the United States soon.
