Adidas has launched a activewear line designed for teens with a collection of fun and stylish lower-priced tops and bottoms, easily able to go from gym class to high school hallways without so much as a hair flip. Adidas launched the collection at an event in New York on Wednesday, which included senior design director, Katie Becker, plus special guests, including actress Zendaya and singer Justine Skye with music provided by DJ Jasmine Solano. One great thing that Adidas did is hire actual fitness models to present the collection, a move that added another level of energy to the event.
According to press, the collection will be available at Adidas.com and exclusively at Dick’s. The retail partnership is significant partnership because Adidas has experienced its share of struggles in the sporting goods channel and caught a little bit of bad press a few months ago when Dick’s said it would reduce Adidas and Reebok to make room for its new private label women’s line, Calia. With Adigirl, it looks like Adidas figured out a way to flip that set back into a positive.
