French luxury label Balenciaga and Alexander Wang officially have parted ways with Wang showing his final collection with the luxury label during Paris Fashion Week a few days ago. On top of the buzz generated by Zoë walking and the Chinese slippers (which seem like a bit of a parting shot, half a humorous reference to Wang’s own ethnicity, half seriousness–say what you will but it IS a classic silhouette), the show has garnered plenty of praise from the critics with some describing it as his best to date with the label. Which, you know that’s like the equivalent of break up sex when you go all out and put it all over your soon-to-be ex just to make sure it pains their memories that much more once you’re out the door. Like, see ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya, and good luck replacing this!!
