Nike Lab announced plans today for a second capsule with Japanese brand Sacai that will explore “texture and silhouette by applying new fabrics to a wider selection of sportswear archetypes.” According to sacai designer Chitose Abe:
“Sacai’s vision is to take classic styles that are familiar to everyone, such as the cardigan, shirt or jacket, and play with the fabrics and silhouettes. We create a new interpretation of classic styles. I applied this same design philosophy to the NikeLab x Sacai collection, expressing the style of Nike that everyone knows through sacai’s eye.”
The collection’s fabrics include Nike Tech Fleece, knits and traditional materials such as wool and leather. Some of the items, including the pleated back jacket, Tech Fleece cable crew and wool Skirt, feature exaggerated, over-sized silhouettes. In a shift from the first collection, pleated details are still present but often hidden from view.

The NikeLab x Sacai collection launches globally November 5th at Nike.com/NikeLab and in select NikeLab stores. The holiday collection launches December 10th.
