Liberty Fairs NYC Highlights

January 31, 2016. Leave a Comment

The City’s lone snowstorm thus far this season struck just prior to Liberty Fair’s menswear show in NYC. And while the storm managed to upend many folks’ travel plans, the snow and ice provided a good backdrop for the show’s celebration of rugged Americana which took shape in the form of nylon flight jackets, distressed army coats, along with sturdy cotton twill slacks and shirts. Color themes were classic: navy, army green, camo, grey and plaid, often beat up and distressed or detailed with embroidery or patches. And while the show’s vibe was all about beautifully made, classic garments, new nylon fabrications, original print designs as displayed by brands including Orlebar Brown and K-Way added a nice point of difference to the show.

We photographed brands, booths and attendees from the show that stood out to us. Check them out below.

Designed for women, Lility NYC takes its name from a mythological character who has been described as the wife of Adam in early texts.

Lilith NYC’s debut silhouette is called Caudal Lure, a form of mimicry used by snakes to lure prey using their tails akin to how sneaker lovers flex their kicks. The name is referenced through the shoe’s super-sized Vibram outsole, designed to resembles a snake’s tail.

Lilith’s debut Caudal Lure sneaker is now available for pre-order on lilith.nyc.
