And the hits just keep coming for Rihanna with French conglomerate LVMH announcing today that it’ss planning a fall 2017 launch of a makeup line with the singer called “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna.” The line will be produced under the company’s Kendo division, which has also undertaken cosmetics brands for Kat Von D and Marc Jacobs, both of which are sold at LVMH’s Sephora division.
Kendo CEO David Suliteanu is excited about the brand’s potential, and according to WWD, commented, “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience. We are aiming for the stars.” The company is rumored to have paid out up to $10M to enter the partnership with Rihanna.
Rihanna has already delved into the beauty category with a series of collaborative launches with MAC in 2014 and has an ongoing fragrance deal with Parlux with her last scent launched in fall 2015.
