As introduced by CFDA board chairman Diane von Fürstenberg, Beyoncé was awarded CFDA’s “Fashion Icon” award last night, an event she attended wearing a pinstriped Givenchy suit and extra-wide-brimmed hat. The singer’s husband, Sean Carter, and daughter, Blue Ivy, were in attendance, as was her mother, Tina Knowles, who she credited in a heartfelt speech for her appreciation of fashion.
