Following its successful collaboration with Peanuts last year, Coach is taking on the even more iconic Disney license with a collection of bags, sneakers, tees and accessories. Mickey Mouse is the only Disney character featured and it’s the ’70s-’80s version of Mickey, whose cool dude aesthetic most appealed to head designer Stuart Vever.
The collaboration falls within Coach’s higher-priced 1941 silo, and easily the most appealing item is the kiss lock bag featuring an over-sized pair of Mickey’s famous round ears, and indeed the silhouette in both black and red is already sold out on Colette, where the collection launched on June 10th. Offerings are now also available at the Coach store in SoHo, New York, and will be rolled out globally on June 17th on Coach.com and select Coach stores.
