Yeezy Season 2 Footwear Launches June 6th

While Yeezy Season 2 apparel appears to have no known delivery date (perhaps put aside in favor of focusing on eminently easier and more profitable concert apparel), Kanye West has let it be known he’s launching men’s and women’s footwear on June 6th. Offerings include a military boot ($645), a sandal, one with a Lucite heel and clear plastic upper and the second in all over sand suede ($445), a knit ankle boot ($895) and an over-the-knee boot, both in sand and dark forest green ($995).

Probably the military boot will sell out pretty quickly, but it will be interesting to see what happens with the women’s shoes. The price is actually fairly reasonable and yet, they’re not super differentiated from other high-end designer offerings except that they’re designed by West, a fact that tends to hold more weight with men than it does women (read why that is here). That said, Ye’s wife, Kim Kardashians, has been spotted in the shoes and she aint no slouch when it comes to moving product.

These will be available to purchase on YeezySupply.com, starting Monday, June 6th, plus other retailers. Since Adidas isn’t invovled with Ye’s collection shoes and apparel, it’s a little harder to know where they may pop up. Here are the retailers we know are carrying it thus far: Antonioli, Barneys, Browns, Cruise Fashion, End Clothing, Fruition Las Vegas, Luisaviarome, MyTheresa, RSVP Gallery, SlamJamSocialism and SSense.

If none of this is of any interest to you because you’re saving your coins for the next Yeezy Boost launch, Adidas Originals is dropping the 750 in light grey on June 11th.

Puma and New York-based fashion brand LaQuan Smith Puma and New York-based fashion brand LaQuan Smith are back with their second collaboration, this time inspired by the glitz and grit of the boxing ring. 

The campaign stars Ming Lee Simmons, dressed in satin-finished boxing shorts, cropped jackets, and tear-away pants with luxe details.

The capsule also includes two Speedcat silhouettes, including the Speedcat Mid, a high-ankle boxing sneaker. 

Priced between $80-$100, the Puma x LaQuan Smith collection launches on March 15 on puma.com, the Puma NYC and Las Vegas flagship stores, and select retailers including Foot Locker and Shoe Palace.

Taking inspiration from a feminine Y2K aesthetic, the collection embodies designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s ability to balance sexy and cool. 

In an interview with Vogue, the pair shared that they are currently working on a new design director role in Europe and have several other projects in the pipeline, including another denim project, a collaboration with a jewelry brand, and a menswear capsule for an e-commerce site.

Commenting on the lookbook styling, they shared, "Obviously in the lookbooks it's styled in a quite extreme way, but if you break it down into individual pieces, we've been thinking about merchandising and the customer more than ever before," said Arsenault. "We've seen the team in the studio wearing the pieces differently too, and we've taken that into account. It's a nice challenge to say: 'Okay, we want to make a sweatshirt, but it still has this silhouette or wash or rib detail that makes it feel really Knwls."
