Aether 79 Accessories Practice Art Of Mixing Vibes

July 16, 2016. Leave a Comment

A veteran of the music industry, Christina “cK” Outlaw made the decision to expand her creative horizons and did so through the launch of accessory label Aether 79 two years ago. Inspired by a long held fascination with crystals and their healing properties, along with an appreciation for iconic urban fashion, Outlaw’s pieces in many ways parallel modern music and fashion in that they’re a mash up of ’90s and ’00s creative approaches that existed in the same time and space but occupied very different lanes. The aesthetic is not unlike a modern day merger of, say, De La Soul and LL Cool J, both of which charted in ’89, and yet at that time were miles apart in terms of their approach, look and feel.

Because of her music background, which included time spent working with G.O.O.D. music artists, as well as an executive position at Def Jam, Aether has found a natural home in the world of music with pieces spotted on Ro James, Kat Dahlia, Bridget Kelly, Chaz French, Chynna Rogers and Keisza.

Aether 79 accessories are now available for purchase at Aether79.com.
