In ASAP Rocky’s world everything may be purple, but in Snobette land, the Pantette color of the year is mauve. Quietly sitting somewhere between the audaciousness of purple and the unabashed power femminess of pink, mauve is a more complex, or if you will, seasoned color story. We imagine it’s the color pink becomes after it’s lived, hunty. Just like a multi-faceted human, mauve is inclined to shape shift and change depending on the light or time of day, ranging from subtle dusty pinks to dark hues of brown-tinged lavenders. Rising out of the fashion world’s recent embrace of all tones earthy (for which Ye absolutely deserves cred), it is the most fem of the pack and yet a color that manages to make all who associate with it a softer sort of sexy.
