Acne Studios has taken a lighthearted approach for fall with a capsule of crew neck sweatshirts and over-sized intarsia sweaters that pay homage to emojis (including a banana, doughnut, microphone and hot dog (mostly phallic it appears, except for the doughnut, which, what is the opposite of phallic?) There is also a pair of doughnut-emoji sneakers. Of course this is Acne, so the graphics aren’t just reproductions, but artfully designed, and in the case of the crews, embroidered with satin yard to create intricate designs and textures.
