Yet another update: The very person we found delightful for her fake scammy ways, aka Joanne Prada, honestly, truly scammed us by creating the very fake drakeandrihanna.com website. In the video below, Prada explained she wanted to get back at Drake for ignoring her at the VMA event and choosing Rihanna over her.
Btw, in the midst of all this confusion and scamming, we’ve heard from someone who truly (really-really) is an insider in the music world that Drake and Rihanna honestly, truly are a real thing. Apparently he’s been wanting to take it public all summer and she’s the one that’s been keeping him at arm’s length. See ENew’s coverage of their time in a club in Miami last night for supporting evidence.
Update: Hold up, Pitchfork reached out to Drake and Rihanna’s peoples and apparently the countdown website has nothing to do with them. Also, the billboard was the one Drake put up to congratulate Rihanna about her MTV vanguard award except that OVO did Tweet it today with the hashtag #welcometothefamily. Still, probably everything written below is now for naught and you can go back to debating whether or not they’re a real couple. Womp-womp.
While the world was busy debating whether or not Rihanna curved Drake at the MTV’s VMA event, those two it appears were making plans to stack their paper even higher. Today, seemingly out of a cloud appeared a billboard welcoming Rihanna to the OVO family and at the same time a drakeandrihanna.com website materialized. Currently, the site is black and there is a countdown clock plus the OVO praying hands logo. Nada mas.
We know not what any of this means, except that these two are clearly up to something. We have to guess it is something to do with music because that is something Drake and Rihanna do very beautifully together.
