New York designer Laurel Dewitt once again came through with a eye-popping collection of 15 other worldly looks all anchored around her gift for weaving and sculpting various metal materials. Known for a gift for drama, her looks have been worn by industry notables including Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.
Set against the appropriately ornate backdrop of the Holy Apostles Church in Manhattan, the show opened with a performance of Beyoncé’s “Pray You Catch Me” by violinist Molly Fletcher. As with all of Dewitt’s presentations, there were buzz-worthy models in the cast and this time around it was friend of Kanye West Amina Blue along with Jessica White, who wore the show’s finale look.
In addition to the stunning looks, Dewitt debuted her new leather hangbag line, featuring touches of the same ornate detailing used in her garments.
Footwear was provided by House of Labels with earrings from Laruicci. Makeup was handled by Grisell Emua and hair was managed by Brian C. Hawkins.
