Puma and UEG have announced plans for a collaboration of shoes and apparel with a collection titled “Gravity Resistance,” a name reflective of the futuristic explorer appeal of offerings. Known for its use of white and black color themes and modern industrial design approach combined with a fashion philosophy rooted in sameness, Polish label UEG’s manifesto reads in part, “Similarity is characteristic of everything that is. Everything that is similar. Each of us is similar to someone else. Do not be solitary, be similar. A uniform is the image of your similarity. You ‘I’ because the image of the uniform. Others are not other if you are the same.”
The collection brings dramatic edge to Puma with unique pieces like a pull-over puffer jacket, a moon-age dress and government issue-inspired knee-high boots and sneakers, a futuristic space explorer effect heightened by a lookbook that could have been shot on Tatooine.
The collab will be favailable at UEG-store.com on September 9th, and then at Puma, Urban Outfitters, Revolve, American Rag and Nice Kicks as well as other top-tier retailers on September 24th.
