Well known for her love of denim, Khloé Kardashian has launched her own label, called Good American, a move that makes a ton of financial sense. Better to use your considerable star power and influence to move your own brand rather than hawk another company’s jeans for a lot less kick back.
Launched in collaboration with Emma Grede, CEO of marketing company ITB (which specializes in celebrity collaborations), the line is all about offering cool washes and silhouettes for women of all shapes and sizes. And indeed, the brand walks the walk with campaign images showing women of all sizes.
The inaugural line is comprised of three styles: Good legs, a mid-rise cropped slim; Good Cuts, a straight leg; and Good waist, a high waist slim, and styles are sized from 0-24.
The one hitch for the brand is that they’re priced from $159-$215, a bit on the pricey side in comparison to some established denim brands that offer similar looks. It’ll be interesting to see if Khloé and her sisters’ celebrity (Kyle has already been spotted in a pair) is big enough to entice her fans to buy a pair or two when there are so many lower cost options. If anything, one could see where she would make some headway with plus-sized women, who are less marketed to and have fewer $100 and up options.
The line is now available at Nordstrom and goodamerican.com.
