Sparked by the popular “You call her Stephanie, I call her Headphanie!” lyrics in Brooklyn rapper Young M.A.‘s mega-hit “OOOUUU” and her own @hennynhoes Instagram handle, a fledgling, Florida-based, T-shirt company called Lilac cleverly has capitalized on the moment with a cognac named “Headphanie,” whose labeling mimics that of the Hennessy cognac brand. According to the brand’s website, the bottle is now only available at 24/7 Liquor in Hallendale, Florida, and Sweeney’s Drive Through in Hollywood, Florida.
The company had a “Something Light” product unveiling on October 28th at an art gallery in Ft. Lauderdale, an event that was billed as done in collaboration with Hennessy though given the current distribution channel we kind of doubt this is an official partnership.
If it’s not official, the real Hennessy will probably have huge issues with the design of the bottle and Young M.A. probably won’t be too thrilled by it either, but the whole escapade will be super fun while it lasts.
