The Vetements Collaborative Collection Has Begun To Hit Retail

Vetements x Champion

December 26, 2016. Leave a Comment

One of 2016’s most lauded fashion labels was Paris-based Vetements and among its runway presentations, its spring 2017 collection featuring an array of collaborations was easily the most buzzed about. Offerings have begun to hit retail, starting with a big drop of items from Champion, plus pieces from Canada Goose and also Juicy Couture.

The Champion pieces in particular stand out in part because heritage-sport-inspired silhouettes are ones Vetements has already touched on in prior collection. With the Champion pieces, the Demna Gvasalia-led Vetements label has stepped further out onto the limb of experimentation, building on over-sized and off kilter seams with branded ribbons that run past the ends of the sleeves and create a sporty fringe effect.

Check out some of the looks below. Images from matchesfashion.com and ssense, both of which are carrying items from the collaboration.

Obvs by now she should have an AOTY award as part of her collection and for that and all the other genius artists (Snoop, Bjørn, Nicki, Tupac! etc.) who’ve been denied altogether), the Grammys will forever be somewhat whack!!
