Rihanna Was Present And Fashionable At New York’s Women’s March

January 23, 2017. 1 Comment

Among the many celebrities in attendance at the global Women’s March (January 22, 2017), Bajan beauty Rihanna was present and accounted for at the New York event. In the caption of one of her Instagram photos, she wrote, “So proud to be a woman!! So proud of the women around the world who came together today for pro-choice!”

Keeping her presence very low key, she was spotted mixed in with the crowd, joining the crowd chants, not far from Trump Tower. In one of her Instagram images, she stands in front of the signs that marchers left behind on 56th Street where the march ended.

And yes, as Rihanna revealed, it is entirely okay to mix activism with a banging outfit. As usual, she showed her skill for mixing high and low looks, wearing a HLZBLZ “Middle Finger” dad cap, with a LAPP “This Pussy Grabs Back” hoodie (model Leomie Anderson‘s label), a Molly Goddard “Jamie” dress, Majesty Black “Black Sarah” gloves and a pair of Christian Louboutin pink Pigalle pumps.

Check out her Instagram images below plus some video via an Australian tourist who attended the event and discovered she was sharing her space with Rihanna.

When we raised the idea of having a marching band, we wanted the energy, spirit, and sound.I really wanted to reach out and see if there was any possibility that we could make it happen. I am glad that we did.”
