London-based Christopher Kane’s London Fashion Week presentation was themed around space, and indeed, the lame theme expressed on the runway conveyed fashion that would be right at home at fancy space station fête in a faraway galaxy.
The theme was extended to the debut of a space-travel ready “Safety Buckle” collection of shoes and bags offered in bright primary colors. In addition to the buy now “Safety Buckle” collection, Kane also show a fun assortment of mod boots and handbag, plus padded pumps plus
Kane who has been designing his namesake label since 2006 chose humor to launch a capsule of bags and sneakers with a series of videos showing the bags and shoes in nature and space while another series focused on highlighting Crocs, being dissected and put through pressure tests.
The runway looks also featured a fun assortment of mod-like boots, foam-padded pumps, fur-adorned Crocs, as well as futuristic handbags and clutches.
