Illy Lussiano opened her first solo show in New York this past Tuesday at Magic gallery in Chinatown. Titled “Welcome to Heaven,” the show featured a cloud-covered floor, commemorative ASAP Yams jacket, a Whitney Houston alter and paintings channeling self love, womanhood, motivation and spirituality. Lussiano transported attendees to a calmer place where nostalgia, dreams, and creativity have no bounds.
