Queens rapper Nicki Minaj has fired back at Remy Ma with “No Frauds,” a song whose most lethal attacks include accusations the Bronx rapper used her husband, Papoose, to ghost write and shot her friend over money, an act that put Ma in prison and separated her from her son for a big part of his young life. Other direct shots included calling Remy out for getting plastic surgery that yielded poor results.
The fact that Drake and Lil Wayne are on the track is another attack in and of itself, as is the accusation that Jay-Z wouldn’t clear a bar for Ma, indicating that Minaj’s team is far more substantial than Ma’s.
In an Instagram post, Minaj also issued a challenge to Remy, addressing her as Sheneheh from the TV Show “Martin.” “Now I got a countdown of my own for Sheneneh. U got 72 hours to drop a hit and I’ll give u half a million dollars if u can book ANY show or interview w/o mentioning the Queen name,” wrote Minaj, who also promised there was more on deck for Ma. “I got a bunch more on cock. Pauz. The greats took 3 months to respond to diss records. Queens don’t move on peasant time. Queens shut down Paris, then drop hits on #QueenTime,” added Minaj.
There’s a certain crowd out there who was waiting for Minaj to be taken down and were thrilled by Remy’s very potent attack on her through “ShETHER.” Part of that is the lust to build up and take down all celebrities, but it’s also the misogyny of hip hop and the still held belief that women shouldn’t be holding top spots, especially if said rapper is known in part for writing frothy pop songs. However, Minaj is a legit talent and her success is no accident. Her fans may be called Barbz, but Minaj is a true goon.
