Be careful what you wish for. Just last year, we were scouring Instagram for Coachella attendees eschewing the Bohemian, flowers-in-your-hair look that the festival has become known for. Making use of the hashtag #noboho, we managed to scrape together handful of stars who opted for more updated, streetwear-influenced looks.
This year, celebrities so thoroughly embraced the #noboho look (fishnet, sequins, exposed boobs, stripper cut denim shorts, white sneakers and boots, and lots of ’90s-era rap poses) to the point that we’re wondering if Coachella had some secret entry rule whereby anyone wearing beads, fringe or flowers was turned away at the gate. Even the girliest of girls Selena Gomez, there with her beau The Weeknd, wore a Boho flower sundress but with white leather sneakers.
