Nicki Minaj Keeps It Sexy For ‘Light My Body Up’ Visual Ft. Lil Wayne

May 6, 2017. Leave a Comment

DJ David Guetta has released the music video for “Light My Body Up,” a visual that features Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. Directed by Benny Boom, the video opens with Minaj as the center of attention (of course) with Guetta (at times creepily) leering at her throughout.

In a Twitter exchange with her devoted fan base, Minaj was asked about the diverse cast of six women featured in the video. “I handpicked these girls. Still have their headshots in my phone. All beautiful,” she wrote.

Style-wise, Minaj didn’t hold back and via Instagram account @onikaswardrobe, we spy a total of three looks. The video opens with Minaj wearing a Gothic Renaissance mask and coin belt with New Rock Official boots and gloves via A-Morir; later in the video she layers a Laurel DeWitt leather coat over the same look.

For the look on the gold sofa, she wore a Demode Jewelry crystal bib, Jennifer Le gladiator sandals and Lynn Ban earrings. In the scene in which she struts through the foyer, she wears a leopard and snakeskin colored Roberto Cavalli gown paired with Vince Camuto boots.

This video finishes out the visuals for the trifecta of singles she dropped back in March. “No Frauds” came first in late April, followed by “Regret In Your Tears.”

David Guetta and Nicki Minaj  are no newbies to working together. Building on a music theme of rapped tinged pop, together they’ve created “Turn Me on,” “Where Them Girls At,” and “Hey Mama.”
