Young M.A. ‘Self M.Ade’ Visual Lays Out Brooklyn Rapper’s Wish List

May 22, 2017. Leave a Comment

While high profile in the rap game, Young M.A. in her “Self M.Ade” single reminds fans that she’s still on her grind and has a lot of goals she’s yet to achieve. Driving home the point, the video opens with M.A. walking out to a Hyundai in the rain, by herself.

In the song, the Brooklyn rapper lays out a series of goals, including owning the matte black Audi R8 (starting price $163,00) shown in the video and obtaining a net worth of at least $100 million. As for being rich and famous, M.A. says “I just want the money, I don’t want that fame shit.”

M.A. also takes on her detractors, and dismisses those who have accused her of ghost writing, as well as those who have criticized her for being openly gay.

The video ends with a cute skit, in which a fan who rode his bicycle “all the way from Bay Ridge” visits the rapper with a desperate plea for Young M.A. merchandise.

Shot in Brooklyn, M.A. wears a black High End Junkie embroidered jacket and a pair of wheat Timberland boots.

“Self M.Ade” is from her seven-track “Herstory” EP, which includes her break out single “OOOUUU.” The rapper was recently announced as a BET award nominee for best female rapper, along with Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma, Missy Elliott and Cardi B.

With 32 awards, Beyoncé is now the winningest art With 32 awards, Beyoncé is now the winningest artist in Grammys history. Obvs by now she should have an AOTY award as part of her collection and for that and all the other genius artists (Snoop, Bjørn, Nicki, Tupac! etc.) who’ve been denied altogether), the Grammys will forever be somewhat whack!!
