Puma and Rihanna have dropped a new silhouette, called Trainer Hi. Mixing inspiration from performance and runway, the sneaker has performance capabilities, but also appeal as a head-turning fashion item. Details on the slip-on sneaker include an Ignite outsole, a leather upper plus a rubber TPU strap across the toe box.
Frankly, this is a lot of shoe. Puma and Rihanna have shown a praise-worthy level of courage when it comes to pushing the envelope on creating women’s shoe designs, but not everything is going to hit the mark. And though there are elements of this shoe that are quite dope, it probably would have benefited from a svelter lace strap and toe box which would have meant sacrificing performance elements.
