U.S. label Rodarete as designed by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleav showed earlier today (July 2, 2017) in Paris during Haute Couture week, as a guest of France’s Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.
The designers rose to the occasion with, showing a spring 2018 collection of the frilly ephemeral looks they are known for as seamlessly blended with very bad (yet still femmy) ruffle and pearl-adored leather pieces.
“We wanted to keep the DNA of what we do but still do something that’s romantic and pays reverence to the history of couture and all the houses that show here. We just tried to do it our way,” said Laura Mulleavy in an interview with Footwear News magazine.
