After teasing her fans that the release of the video for “Rake It Up” had been canceled, Nicki Minaj came through shortly thereafter and dropped the Benny Boom-directed visual for the Yo Gotti and Mike Will Made It single she jumped on back in June.
Among the singles she’s been featured on thus far this year, “Rake It Up” has to be viewed as her best effort. It’s a rap bop, plus her bar game is on point. The visual is just as fun, filled as it is with colorful visuals, lots of cute dancers plus an appearance by Blac Chyna, who gets a word play shout out in the song.
Minaj continues her love affair with latex in the video, opening with a crop top and flared skirt worn with Fendi’s famed knit ankle boots. For her second look, she sported a pink latex bra and brief set by Atsuko Kudo with a Francesco Scognamiglio white fur and Ami Clubwear lace-up boots.
For look No. 3, she again tapped Atsuko Kudo for a baby blue latex crop top and pencil skirt, the outfit she wore in her pink Lamborghini during her “race with Chyna.”
