Supreme week No. 10 is centered around brand’s capsule with Independent, long time partners in collaborative crimes. Founded in 1978, Independent is like Thrasher in that it’s a pure skateboard brand except it hasn’t seen the same level of crossover as a fashion statement. Of course the fact that it’s more obscure and isn’t worn by Kendall Jenner makes it more appealing to a certain segment of Supreme customer who still cling to the concept of Supreme as an edgy, underground brand (even though it’s not).
Independent items include a crew neck ($148), t-shirt ($44), long-sleeve top ($54), quilted flannel shirt ($138), bomber jacket ($238), anorak ($188) and sweatpants ($138). They’re all quite nice, but we like the long-sleeve top ($54) the best. The five-panel red cap ($54) is also quite cool.
The drop also includes some additional items we love, including and especially the fuzzy wuzzy backpacks ($118) and waist bag ($68) that were included on our best-of fall 2017 list. So cute!
Stripes are starting to really jump off as a trend and you can hop on board the express with this week’s “Divine” long sleeve top.
The online drop will occur on November 16, 2017 at 11:00 GMT for the European site and 11:00 EST for the U.S. site. Physical stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris open at 11:00 local time. The collection goes live in Japan on November 18th.
