Inspired by Vietnamese military souvenir shirts from the ’50s, London-based Maharishi has released a collection of woman’s sand-washed silk shirts, quilted jackets and trousers, all adorned with hand-worked embroidery. The collection stays true to the label’s DNA, taking inspiration from military classics and presenting them through a streetwear lens.
With still no confirmation yet from the brand, Maharishi may or may not be gearing up to open a Mahattan store on 38 Lispenard Street. While the brand’s decal is still present on the window as of this week, Tribeca Citizen first mentioned the brand opening a store in the location in May 2017.
