Rihanna celebrated her 30th birthday party last night (February 20, 2019) with dinner at the Seagram Building’s The Grill restaurant in Manhattan, followed by a party at the Pool, a space that’s marked by a rectangular pool in the center of the space.
Attendees had to turn over their phones upon arrival with an exclusive list that included Rihanna’s boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, Roc Nation’s Shawn Pecas and Juan Perez, Monica Braithwaite, Rorrey Fenton, Melissa Forde, Jenn Rosales, Leandra Simone, Dr. Sonita Alexander plus Noella Alstrom and her daughter, Majesty.
On Instagram, Rihanna at first posted an image featuring Jameel in the background but then perhaps realizing he was in the image, deleted it and reposted a cropped version. Now you see ’em, now you don’t!
Singer Toni Braxton performed at the event, inspiring Rihanna to write on Instagram, “Finally met my fav! Thank you for making my night so special!! I’ll never forgive you for looking this good at my party tho.”
While Rihanna managed to mostly steer clear of cameras, she was spotting headed to the event wearing a fuchsia top from Saint Laurent’s spring 2018 collection. .
Prior to the event, some of the guests were gifted black slippers personalized with 30 on the left shoe and an R on the right.
As part of the celebration, Fenty Beauty dropped limited edition packaging for the brand’s popular “Trophy Wife” highlighter. Priced at $34 and available only online, it’s packaged in a white compact and comes in a box that reads “Dirty Thirty Killawatt.”
