Singer and entrepreneur Teyana Taylor has announced the opening of her Harlem nail salon is imminent. The Harlem-born singer announced in October 2017 that the salon would be called Junie Bee Nails, in honor of her daughter with Iman Shumbert, Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr.
In addition to the usual services offered by nail salons, the store will have a ’90s design theme. “I’m talking everything from Dapper Dan style [uniforms], to door knockers, bamboo earrings, baby hairs, airbrushed nails, [Reebok] 5411s and all that other fly shit! The true essence of that ’90s flavor,” she wrote on Instagram.
Taylor didn’t announce an opening date or location, but implied it would open during the month of February. Currently she is taking applications from nail technicians. Interested nail artists can dm her at @junienails.
