Soho House’s first Brooklyn location dubbed DUMBO House is now open for established members and is the process of taking applications for new members. Marked by its amazing views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, the DUMBO House interior and exterior were designed by a team that included architects David Adjaye, Zoe Buckman, and Steven Siegel.
The exterior pays tributes to its surroundings with slate blue walls inspired by the color of the Manhattan bridge and brown marble table tops that mimic that of the Brooklyn Bridge. In addition to the amazing view, the DUMBO location includes a restaurant, club bar, library, an outdoor terrace and rooftop with a pool.
This is Soho House’s third location in New York. Founded by Nick Jones in London in 1995 as a private club for creatives, there are now 18 houses globally.
DUMBO House is located at 55 Water Street in Brooklyn. Membership annually for a single location is $2,100 and $1,600 for anyone 27 or under. You can apply here. In order to be considered you will need the recommendation of two people who are currently members.
