Week 11 is highlighted by a collaboration with downtown New York graffiti artist Lee Quiñones, who is best known for colorful work that covered entire subway cars. Quiñones offerings include a coach’s jacket, hoodie, short-sleeve button down, slacks, and two decks.
Even if you don’t know him by name, if you spent time in New York in the ’80s and ’90s, his work should have a very familiar feel to it. Like many street-inspired artists of the period, much of the Puerto Rican-born, Lower East Side-raised Quiñones’ work documented the stress, strife and joy of growing up as a poor minority in a pre-gentrified New York. While much of his subway art is long gone, his work is part of multiple permanent museum collections around the world.
If you’re not equipped to sport such a big statement piece, other worthy week 11 items include a Lion raglan baseball top ($88), a coach’s jackets featuring a Gonz-designed “Supream” logo ($148), a Supreme x Shed Rain umbrella ($48) and a set of glass jars ($34).
This week Supreme is also restocking it’s popular backpacks ($158), duffel bags ($158 and $168), waistbags ($88) and our fave, the shoulder bags aka cross body bags ($54).
The online drop will occur on May 3, 2018 at 11:00 GMT for the European site and 11:00 AM EST for the U.S. site. Physical stores in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Manhattan, London and Paris open at 11:00 AM local time. The collection goes live in Japan on May 5th.
