Balenciaga as lead by Demna Gvasalia announces the retail debut of its outdoor-inspired Track sneaker. The launch collection will include four colorways. The vegan shoe is marked by a mesh upper and double plastic cage system that extends from the heel to the lacing system. The distinct outsole mimics a retro rugged hiking shoe bottom albeit much more built up and bulky.
The Track is a follow up to Balenciaga’s famed Triple S sneaker, a shoe that kicked the dad-shoe trend into high gear and spawned countless knock offs.
Priced at £550, the initial launch of the Track is available in four colorways for men: black; orange/white/dark grey/blue; yellow/dark grey/white and white/orange. There are two colorways sized for women: black and white orange.
The debut Track launch will be sold exclusively At the Corner Shop at Selfridges in London from September 3-23, 2018. In order to make the purchase, you must first visit the Balenciaga website, where you can register for a date to purchase the shoe.
