Cardi B has long talked up plans for a Fashion Nova concert celebrating the launch of her collaborative line with the label. Part of the concert included a supportive cast of female rappers, all selected by Cardi. According to the flier for the event, Saweetie, City Girls, Dream Doll, Cupcakke and Brianna Perry were slated to perform at a location in Los Angeles today (November 14, 2018) with ones and twos support from DJs Carisma and Duffey. (The event and Cardi’s collection will be live streamed tonight at 11:00 PM EST on fashionnova.com.)

Leading up to the event, Cardi had mentioned including Cuban Doll though she clearly didn’t make the final cut and one has to guess the Rocky Badd dust-up may have had something to do with her being left out.

Not long after the line up went live, Cupcakke weighed in on Twitter and said she was dipping on the event. She wrote, “Sooooooooo fashion nova decided to cut some of my time off my performance and raise other people times up which is very unfair to me so I came to a conclusion I don’t want to perform at the fashion nova party but I thank cardi for the opportunity.”

Given Cardi’s popularity, not surprisingly Cupcakke received a lot of push back in her mention, including some lines from “Love & Hip Hop New York” rapper MariahLynn, who wrote, “It’s crazy how someone could go and say I’m not performing like girl your lucky to even have that opportunity… I wouldn’t of care if it was one min of my song, some didn’t even get an invite like wtf is going on in the world? Be grateful when opportunities present them self.”

Unfazed, Cupcakke clapped back, “See sis……. this where you should of ate yo food ….. ‘I’m not lucky to have shit’ your just DESPERATE, you the same mf that BEGGGGGGGED me for a verse and still haven’t got that bitch ! HOW YO SHIT SO GARBAGE AND YOU DONT EVEN WRITE IT MY NIGGA ? I got videos on you !”

In response to a tweet pointing out Mariahlynn appeared at Slut Walk for free, Cupcakke added, “Facts!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I got so much shit on these wanna be nicki Minaj ass rappers it’s crazy !!! I just don’t say shit cause I be cooling . Like fr talk to me when you could slide a beat that ain’t nickis … like my nigga do you even have a fucking producer.”

As it happens, Azealia Banks was alerted Cupcakke and Mariahlynn were beefing and she used her @cheapyxo account to jump in. In a fury, Banks wrote, @MariahLynnBoss I’ve really had enough of you talking shit thinking you’re a real rap bitch. I will step on your fucking skull and crush it bitch.”

In a second tweet she added, “I will punch mariahlynn in her ugly mentally retarded white trash rat nose. Say something the fuck else bitch. @MariahLynnBoss . I promise you I will murder you with my bare hands. Dirty little Edgar allen Poe looking smut. Dirty little Puerto Rican rat. I’ve had enough of you.”

The threat on Mariahlynn’s life was enough for Twitter to once again ban Banks’ account. This time Twitter took out her @cheapyxo merch account.

Check out the tweets below.

For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runwa For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runway show and present their collection in a styled lookbook.

Taking inspiration from a feminine Y2K aesthetic, the collection embodies designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s ability to balance sexy and cool.

In an interview with Vogue, the pair shared that they are currently working on a new design director role in Europe and have several other projects in the pipeline, including another denim project, a collaboration with a jewelry brand, and a menswear capsule for an e-commerce site.

Commenting on the lookbook styling, they shared, "Obviously in the lookbooks it's styled in a quite extreme way, but if you break it down into individual pieces, we've been thinking about merchandising and the customer more than ever before," said Arsenault. "We've seen the team in the studio wearing the pieces differently too, and we've taken that into account. It's a nice challenge to say: 'Okay, we want to make a sweatshirt, but it still has this silhouette or wash or rib detail that makes it feel really Knwls."
