Slashed By Tia Taps Into Feminine Angels For Spring 2019 Campaign

New York-based Slashed by Tia as led by Teni Adeola has been winning hearts with a cool a label deftly blending feminine frills with urban sass. Worn by SZA, Dua Lipa and Gigi Hadid to name a few, the brand has expanded on its signature ruffled sets to include an array of new separates for spring 2019.

The label made it New York Fashion Week debut at the Church of the Ascension in September 2018 and this week it revealed its Spring 2019 campaign this month.

In an interview with V magazine, the Nigerian-born Adeloa provided her thoughts on the campaign, “The concept for me was my angels of color descending into the church and claiming their power in the most graceful yet badass way possible.”

#Balenciaga hosted its spring 2023 runway show at #Balenciaga hosted its spring 2023 runway show at the NYSE this past Sunday. Guests included Kanye West, Megan Thee Stallion, Chloë Sevigny, Tremaine Emory, and Marc Jacobs to name a few.

Reflecting on the presentation with Vogue, designer Demna Gvasalia said, "We have to trigger emotion.We live in a terrifying world, and I think fashion is a reflection of that… I think it was quite urgent, a quite urgent show.The most important kind of challenge for any kind of creative is to make a product that is desirable, to create desire. That’s what fashion should do."

Balenciaga and Adidas' collab was unveiled during the show and is now available for pre-order on balenciaga.com until May 29th!
