Following a bit of drama Teyana Taylor has finally dropped “WTP,” a single from her Kanye West-produced K.T.S.E. album dropped in June 2018. The video was originally slated to drop on January 19, 2019, but according to Taylor was delayed by her label, Def Jam, a move that caused her to shut down her Instagram account out of frustration. Fans speculated she closed the account because of rumors her husband, Iman Shumpert, had fathered a child with another woman but Taylor and Shumpert shot down the rumors shortly after they began to spread.

Directed by Taylor, Gregory Jones and the Aunties Way, “WTP” kicks off with a “Paris Is Burning”-style introductions to Voguers including Tokyo Mugler, Milan Christopher, Shawn Extravaganza, Trace Lysette, all of whom detail the various ball categories they specialize in.

The camera switches to a nerdy, bespectacled Taylor playing the role of a downtrodden Petunia, a servant to a house full of talented dancers who don’t think she has the balls to Vogue. Wearing a red BAPE hoodie, a glum Taylor gripes she isn’t allowed to work her pussy at the ball.

Taylor prevails by practicing at her craft, and is helped along the way by her fairy godmother, Mykki Blanco (who co-wrote the song). Wearing a red bob styled by Arrogant Tae, a black patent CreepyYeha bikini and a green fur coat, Taylor goes off in balls in New York and Los Angeles where she commands tens across the board.

The video includes additional cameos by Asia Balenciaga, Justin Labeija, Cameo Balenciaga, Sinia Azzedine Aliaia and also includes some steamy action with her husband.
