Kim Kardashian Is Working On An Affordable Sunglass Collection

Kim Kardashian West with Israeli eyewear label Carolina Lemke have announced plans to create an affordable sunglasses collection with all frames prices at $100 and under. The collection will be titled Kim Kardashian West Collection for Carolina Lemke and will mark the brand’s very splashy, first foray into the U.S. mark.

The effort isn’t a one-off collaboration, but rather a partnership that will include the launch of multiple collections throughout the coming year.

Akin to Rihanna’s recently-revealed Fenty sunglasses, Kardashian says she, too, is ready to leave behind tiny sunglasses and move on to larger frames. In an exchange with Vogue, Kim stated, “I definitely love bigger, mask-like sunglasses, and I still really love sporty sunglasses. Since summer’s coming, when I think about the looks I’m going to put together with all of my bathing suits and my vacation looks, I definitely still see [myself wearing] that sportier, bigger lens.

“We did make a few smaller sunglasses, and there are some really good classics in there. But the bulk of the collection, I would say, is a bit bigger. They took a mold of my face and did these video renderings of what the glasses would look like from all different angles. It’s been a really fun learning experience to see their process from start to finish and to see what they do in the factories.”

As of now, there is no release date yet, but you can sign up at carolinalemke.com to stay on top of info.

Noah founder and J Crew men's creative director Br Noah founder and J Crew men's creative director Brendon Babenzien has a certified hit on his hands. Part of his debut collection with the retailer, the men's "giant fit" chino priced at 89.50 is 100% sold out! Relecting the popularity of the silhouette, the women's wide-leg pleated cargo is also sold out.

With wider fits and chino swinging back into popularity, we can't help but wonder what sneakers and shoes will be coming along for the ride. Any nominations?

The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her care The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her career as a professional tennis player in the September issue of American Vogue.

In the cover story, which is a must read, Williams shares some thoughts on her evolution away from tennis and says,"Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family. Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital—although things got super complicated on the other side. And I almost did do the impossible: A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017."

The cover editorial was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who in 2020 became the first black woman to style a U.S. Vogue cover.

This cover was also one of the last projects hairstylist #LatishaChong worked on before she sadly passed away in July this year.
