Clearly, Solange’s fourth studio album is coming. Following the reveal of an i-D cover story this morning (February 26, 2019) the Houston-born Knowles followed up with a promotional page hosted at blackplanet.com/solange. The page includes three tabs: dossier, live and newsletter.
The dossier includes words and images, some of which include striking images of Solange performing on a pole. The dossier page also includes a “Solange” and “black” icon. Click on “Solange” and a video loop comes up. Clicking on “black” changes the backdrop for the images from black to white and vice versa.
The “live” tab shows tour dates that kick off with the Heartland Festival in Denmark on May 30, 2019.
In November 2018, Solange conducted an interview with the NY Times and described the album as “a lot of jazz at the core, but with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
Solange last album, A Seat at the Table, was dropped in September 2016.
