Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Yung Baby Tate née Tate Farris has dropped GIRLS, an 11-song, self-produced album. Playing off of the project’s name, all of the song titles include the word girl. Further driving home the theme of girl power, all the features are by women and include Killamantii, Mulatto, Bbymutha, Baby Rose and Kari Faux.
On GIRLS, Tate puts an emphasis on her singing skills and she makes it clear that at least for now she’s putting singing ahead of rapping. The album is highlighted by “Pretty Girl” featuring Mulatto and Killumanti, a track that was included on our January 2019 list for top 30 singles by women.
The album is a sequel to her “BOYS” EP, which drop in May of last year.
