Snobette Sounds Best New Music By Women: January 2019

New Year, new sounds! This month marks the first installment of Snobette Sounds 2019, a year that’s looking like one that will be marked by female artists women stepping out of their music comfort zones and experimenting with new genres. Ariana Grande went full urban with her new single “7 Rings,” while H.E.R. will most likely make her top 40 debut with her new song with soulful U.K. pop singer Jesse Glynne.

Disney+ has debuted "Sneakerella," a sneaker-theme Disney+ has debuted "Sneakerella," a sneaker-themed remake of Cinderall, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum. 

The plot is centered on a boy named El (Chosen Jacobs) who works in his deceased mother's sneaker store, Laces. Lordered over by his evil stepfather and stepbrothers, with help from a fairy stepfather he manages to attend a fundraiser wearing a pair of kicks he designed. At the gala, has a chance meeting with Kira King (Lexi Underwood), the daughter of basketball star and sneaker tycoon Darius King. With time running out on the magic spell, he leaves behind one of his sneakers.
