Houston-born Solange has dropped her much-anticipated When I Get Home album, a 19-song (five of which are interludes and one that’s an intermission) project she wrote and produced with contributions from Gucci Mane, Pharrell, Playboi Carti, The-Dream, John Key, Devonté Hynes, Metro Boomin, Sampha and Tyler, The Creator.

Fans who are looking for A Seat at the Table part two are likely to be disappointed. The 39-minute album doesn’t have the same bangers but more provides an overall continuous play mixtape vibe meant to be easy like a warm and hazy Sunday afternoon.

Solange teed up the album with a page on blackplanet.com/solange that’s populated with photos, video as well as her upcoming tour dates.

When I Get Home is now available on all streaming platforms. Check it out on Spotify below.

Part of his debut collection with the retailer, the men's "giant fit" chino priced at 89.50 is 100% sold out! Relecting the popularity of the silhouette, the women's wide-leg pleated cargo is also sold out.

With wider fits and chino swinging back into popularity, we can't help but wonder what sneakers and shoes will be coming along for the ride. Any nominations?

The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her care The GOAT Serena Williams says farewell to her career as a professional tennis player in the September issue of American Vogue.

In the cover story, which is a must read, Williams shares some thoughts on her evolution away from tennis and says,"Believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family. Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. Don’t get me wrong: I love being a woman, and I loved every second of being pregnant with Olympia. I was one of those annoying women who adored being pregnant and was working until the day I had to report to the hospital—although things got super complicated on the other side. And I almost did do the impossible: A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017."

The cover editorial was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who in 2020 became the first black woman to style a U.S. Vogue cover.

This cover was also one of the last projects hairstylist #LatishaChong worked on before she sadly passed away in July this year.
