Harlemite Teyana Taylor has released the visual to “Issues/Hold On,” a single from her 2018 sophomore album K.T.S.E. Directed by Taylor under her Spike Tee moniker, the visual creates a soulful vibe befitting the song with low-fi film techniques, along with ’60s-era costumes and a trio of do-wop singers singing the Clint Black-sampled chorus.
Fellow-Harlemite A$AP Rocky plays Taylor’s love interest in a visual that also includes ASAP Ferg, Tyler the Creator, Kristen Noel Crawley and Lori Harvey cameos. Playing off of the soul mate theme of the lyrics, the video shows the two love birds at their wedding with Taylor wearing an off-the-shoulder floral dress and Rocky sporting a three-piece white tux. Taylor’s hair is styled in a dramatic up swept ‘do while Rocky swaps out his signature braids for a next-level ‘fro.
While the two end up in a heated argument over Rocky’s flirtations with Harvey, like young lovers often do, the quarrel ends with a steamy session of make up sex.
