Brooklyn born r&b singer/songwriter Alex Mali has dropped a visual for “Faded,” a chilled-out single featuring fellow Brooklynite, rapper Thutmose. The single is the second from her upcoming “Sweet and Sour” EP, due out some time in spring 2019.

Reflecting on the project, Mali wrote on Instagram, “Y’all 🤗🤗🤗!! I always envision the visuals for a piece as I write music, but bringing this to life in particular means the world to me. Thank you wholeheartedly to everyone involved in this and of course major thanks @timciavara + @ksmith.movfor beautifully capturing my @officialspikelee inspired vision.”

We interviewed Mali last year and discussed her come up. Check out the visual for “Faded” below along with our exchange with the lovely Ms. Mali below.

Designed for women, Lility NYC takes its name from a mythological character who has been described as the wife of Adam in early texts.

Lilith NYC’s debut silhouette is called Caudal Lure, a form of mimicry used by snakes to lure prey using their tails akin to how sneaker lovers flex their kicks. The name is referenced through the shoe’s super-sized Vibram outsole, designed to resembles a snake’s tail.

Lilith’s debut Caudal Lure sneaker is now available for pre-order on lilith.nyc.
