Japanese label Human Made has restocked its store with Muay Thai shorts for spring 2019, this time offering a chambray pair in either blue or salmon pink. Similar to authentic Muay Thai shorts, the Human Made pair features front and center branding making use of a patch on the waist, applique along the front of the short and embroidery on the hem.
Traditionally worn by boxers, Muay Thai boxing shorts have been gaining steam as a fashion item since last year. To the credit of Human Made designer Nigo, he was an early adopter of the trend and was among the first (if not the first) streetwear brand to offer up a version of the shorts that are characterized by a slit side, bright materials and detailing and prominent branding.
Priced at ¥24,800 ($240) and sized from S-XL, the shorts are now available to purchase in both colors on humanmade.jp. Yes, the store ships globally.
