New York -based designer Everand Best (also known as Ev Bravado) presented on Thursday (June 20, 2019) in Paris where the label debuted new label WHO DECIDES WAR, a reference to the biblical story of the Garden of Eden, original sin and the story of man’s fall from grace.
Commenting on the labels crossed-out 666 logo, Best commented, “Our logo is an anti-666 graphic. There are some logos and graphics out there that draw from things that are dark and negative, and people don’t really think about the message in fashion anymore. They celebrate what’s hot and hyped, even if it’s something like a 666 logo. This is our counter to that; we’re here to celebrate something that’s about the good of the world. Something that means something higher.”
The 16-piece collection of separates was highlighted by artfully reconstructed, layered and detailed denim and twill pants.
Best received a big show of support from the design community with attendance from a line of designers including Virgil Abloh, John Elliott, Jerry Lorenzo, Heron Preston, Kerby Jean Raymond and Reese Cooper.
